About CMA USA
Requirements to Sit for Exam CMA (USA) being an internationally recognized qualification have a special importance in India. It is considered equivalent to ICWA qualification of India (presently known as CMA, India) as per a Mutual Recognition Act (MRA) between IMA, US and ICWA, India.
1.    Membership in IMA and enter the CMA program Students can sit for the CMA exam before they graduate
2.    The exam parts can be taken in any order
3.    Only one exam can be taken at a time
4.    Candidates must register to take one exam part within the first 12 months of entering the program and must complete both exam parts within three years
5.    Student membership can be held for only six years.
6.    Can take exam while still in University at a much cheaper cost.
7.    To qualify for the Student / Academic discount, you must be an IMA Student/ Academic member taking 6 hours per semester
CMA USA Examination Format
The CMA USA exam is fully computerized and is available at hundreds of parametric centers around the world. Candidates can take the exam 6 months out of the 12 each year. There are two parts in the exam. Each part is 3 hours long for 100 multiple choice questions, representing 75% of the exam score. The second section is essay writing representing the remaining 25%. You will be given 30 minutes for each of the two essays. Total testing duration is 4 hours. You must pass at least 50% of the first (i.e. multiple choices) section in order to advance to the essay questions. You can use any time remaining from the multiple choice questions towards the essay portion.
